East Cliff is the calmer, quieter beach of the two areas, perfect for getting away from the noise and buzz of the pier and Walton promenade. This part of the beach and up towards the Naze Tower also generates lots of excitement with some of the largest fossilised sharks’ teeth in the UK being found here!
The most well known of the two beaches, many tourists and holidaymakers tend to spend their time around Southcliff Beach due to it's the vicinity to the train station, cark parks and pier. With a mix of 4–5 rows of beach huts, Southcliff definitly wins the size war with over 500 beach huts with a busy, buzzing promenade on those hot summer days.
A peaceful and quintessentially British seaside resort, Walton is one of my own favourite fine sandy beaches, perfect consistency for building sandcastles! With great stretches of sand in both directions, from the second longest pier in Great Britain, Walton is a great family beach. The gently shelving sand provides safe bathing and there is a seasonal lifeguard service.
Walton-on-the-Naze’s beach is also nice and easy to get to – there is plenty of parking nearby and the town’s train station is practically on the beach, just 90 minutes from London Liverpool Street. You can always extend your trip and book a nearby B&B.

Surprise! My name isn't Millie! Me? I'm Vicky and I'm a beach hut owner, qualified accountant and in October 2016, I made the leap to being fully self-employed. Millie, my adventure loving Springer Spaniel, had a lot to do with that and so it felt entirely natural to name the business after her!
I believe that our time is just as valuable as money. Where and how we spend our time off matters, and I’m passionate about reducing the time owners who are caught up in admin when they could be spending that time at the beach themselves.
So, whether you just want to escape for a day or need help with recouping those running costs for your own beach hut, with minimum time commitments, I can help.
